COMMUNITY PLANNING PARTNERSHIP
MVA represents the sector directly on the Midlothian Community Planning Partnership and facilitates representation of the voluntary sector in the Community Planning process through the Voluntary Sector Forum and, in particular, the Voluntary Sector Children’s sub-group.
A Voluntary Sector Compact was signed on 18 March 2008 between Midlothian Council and Midlothian Voluntary Action, on behalf of the voluntary sector.
The Community Plan and other core Community Plan documents can be downloaded from Midlothian Council's website Community Planning section.
The voluntary sector feeds into the Community Planning process mainly through the Voluntary Sector Forum and sub-groups, as well as other forums.
The Community Planning Partnership is currently developing the "SOA/Community Plan 2013-18". The voluntary sector is strongly encouraged to get involved, for example, through the Voluntary Sector Forum. Further information is available from the Community Planning section of the Midlothian Council website.
